Sacramento Building Performance is a CalCERTS certified HERS rater available to provide your third party testing needs for both production and custom builders as well as remodeling contractors.

There are some changes taking place starting Jan 1, 2010 regarding the requirements for HERS testing for both new construction and change outs. For example, TXV verifications will no longer be accepted, but will be replaced by refrigerant verification and metering devices for RCM (Refrigerant Charge Measurement) on split systems only. Energy Assessment

Sacramento Building Performance is now offering a condensed version of our popular Home Performance Assessment. It may be reduced in scope but it’s still loaded with value! Our Energy Assessment option includes many of the features of our comprehensive performance option at a reduced price.

This option would be most applicable to older homes with energy loss and inefficiency issues that require the expertise we provide but might not call for the comprehensive level of diagnostic testing to identify.

Some of the many features included in an Energy Assessment:

Interview to identify customer comfort concerns
Envelope evaluation including doors, windows and weather stripping
